The Wellbeing Centre now offers a Social Prescribing Service. The Social Prescriber works with anyone who feels they need some extra support to improve their emotional health and wellbeing. Many of the people the Social Prescriber supports would like to make new friends or find out about local activities. They may have lost family, have housing or money issues, had a new baby or are struggling to come to terms with a long-term medical condition.
The Social Prescriber will meet with the individual to discuss the type of support they need.A plan of action will be discussed and they may be referred or signposted to other services either within Bevan’s Wellbeing Centre or to other community groups.
If you would like to find out more about the service you can contact the Social Prescriber directly on 01274 905323, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling in at the Wellbeing Centre reception on Dale Street or speaking to your doctor.
