Volunteering Opportunities with Bevan Healthcare

Volunteers are important to Bevan Healthcare. Volunteering gives you an opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives here in Bradford.

Our Street Medicine Team is a dedicated service enabling homeless individuals or those inadequately housed to access primary care.

We bring healthcare directly to you at food drop-ins, emergency accommodation, or on the street. Our Street Medicine Bus provides a comfortable private space in which clients can talk a doctor or nurse in the strictest confidence.

  • Our team: We have GPs, nurses and a mental health worker, along with help from medical students and volunteer bus drivers. We work closely with support projects for homeless people, to make sure you get all the care that you need.
  • Our sessions: We have sessions every weekday. Please see the timetable to find a time and venue to suit. There is no need for an appointment - just come along to one of the sessions. Furthermore, you don't need to be a patient at Bevan Healthcare to be seen, but if you are not registered with a local GP, we can help you to do so.
